For imaging and radiology of horses with limb issues, we require radiology machines (X-ray equipment) and CR or flat panel (DR) systems. The device I purchased includes a tube (X-ray machine) and a flat panel or detector from the best brands in the world. The tube is from the German company Econet, model Mex60, which has the full capability to perform radiographs of the back, hands, feet, head, and neck.

Although Mex 40, Mex 100, and Mex 20 were also available, in my opinion, Mex 60 is the most suitable for horse imaging.

The detector or flat panel is from the American company Varex, one of the top two brands globally in terms of imaging, with excellent speed and image quality in a 17×14 size and Wifi-enabled.

This detector includes two rechargeable batteries, allowing for extended imaging sessions.

All equipment, including the tube, detector, and lead aprons,was purchased from Negin Homaye Rahmat Iranian Company and is supported by warranty and after-sales service. The mentioned equipment is officially licensed by the Atomic Energy Organization of the country and has a gen number.

The software installed on the laptop, which wirelessly receives images from the detector, is suitable for all animals, such as reptiles, birds, and both small and large animals. It comes preloaded with comprehensive information, which can be edited if needed.
