Flat Panel DR

Digital radiology for veterinary use, or DR, is an imaging technique that involves electronically recording X-ray images with a veterinary DR machine. Essentially, the X-rays emitted by the machine are converted into digital signals. The DR system, also known as Digital Radiology, is an advanced imaging method where X-rays are directed at the body, and then captured by a specialized device and converted into digital signals. These signals are displayed as images on a screen, allowing the physician to diagnose the patient’s condition.

In this method, X-ray detectors are used to obtain images. The plate that the X-rays are directed at is made of a polished material such as silicon, cesium, or selenium, which converts the X-rays into light and then generates a digital signal. This plate comes in various sizes, and the imaging process using it takes only a few seconds, whereas other imaging methods can take several minutes.

Advantages of DR Equipment: This technology simplifies many aspects of traditional imaging methods. There is no need to print images, which reduces costs significantly. X-ray images typically require substantial storage space, but the DR method addresses this issue. Additionally, images can be easily sent via email or other methods.
